Wedding season has officially ended for the Boroff's (or at least until the next one we are going to in December). As many of you know, it seems Jerome and I are always going to weddings. Who knew one could know so many people looking to tie the knot? The funny thing is: this is not a new trend. Jerome and I have had this situation for years. Our friend Aimee use to joke that we were on some wedding invitation database where people just automatically invited us. Lucky for me, I love weddings. Even though we have been married for over four years now, I still get all giddy at the thought of a wedding. I love the splendor of it. The gowns, the tuxedos, the decor, the cake, the ambiance, the champagne. I just can't get enough!
Rather than running down all the info about each set of nuptials, I just thought I'd make a little blurb and share some pics, since I'm sure that's what people want to see anyhow. For the sake of time, I will post about the two most recent: Kirsten and Adam LaKose and David and Dana Fiori.
Kirsten and Adam: October 17 in San Diego
Janelle and I with Kirsten
It was so exciting to go to Kirsten's wedding. Jerome had to work late that day, so I had the pleasure of pairing up with my amazing friend Janelle for the night, since her husband was also working. This wedding was so special to me because Kirsten and I had been great friends in High School, but given the distance between us with college and such, we had not seen each other in over 9 years! She looked beautiful, and was still the same old hilarious girl! It was also exciting that night because many of the girls we grew up with were also there. It was a mini class of '99 reunion! The wedding was fabulous in true Kirsten style, and full of awesome personal touches done by Kiki herself. The highlight had to be the candy bar and the bridal party cookbook favors. I can't wait to make some of the tasty treats!
David and Dana: November 1 in Palm Desert
It's official! Mr. and Mrs. Fiori!
This past weekend Jerome and I attended the wedding of our good friends David and Dana. We know David from the days at the Yard House. Dana and him have grown to be great friends, so we were super excited about their big day. They got married in Palm Desert, at the Desert Willow Gold Club. Palm Desert happens to be one of my favorite getaway places, so I had been looking forward to this weekend for awhile. We stayed at the JW Marriott, which was an amazing property! If you have never been there, you should go. It was gorgeous. Despite some ominous clouds and wind gusts, their sunset wedding on the golf club lawn went off without a hitch. They looked amazing, but if you know them, you will find yourself asking if there is ever a time that they don't? This was another wedding full of personal touches done by Dana herself.
My favorite part of the night, and probably Jerome, George and Vanessa's favorite part too, was the photo booth. Most of the guests, us included spent the night in the booth taking silly pictures. Every wedding should have on of these! The only downfall of the night was the fact
that I had a terrible cold brewing, and felt completely miserable. After dinner, I took the shuttle back to the JW and proceeded to bed. So much for dancing the night away in my new Betsey Johnson dress that I so adore! Anywho, here's a couple of pics to recap the night.
With George and Vanessa (they were in the wedding)
Having fun in the photo booth!
As a message to our friends, we just want to say thank you for letting us share in your special day! It is our pleasure and we wish much love and happiness as you embark on your journey as husband and wife!
Next stop on the wedding express: Jerome's friend Kristen's wedding in December....
